With nine Hallmarq standing equine MRI systems in Germany, two in the Netherlands, two in Denmark, and one each in Austria, Switzerland and Belgium there is a scanner within travelling distance of most horses in northern Europe.  Hallmarq attends a number of veterinary meetings each year to help the vets who see lameness cases understand how MRI might help their patients, and where and how to arrange for a scan.

For the first time we exhibited this year at the Leipziger Tierärztekongress, a large biennial mixed vet meeting, particularly in support of our sites near Leipzig and Berlin.  Thanks to Thorben Schulze for his support on the stand.

Immediately after Leipzig we also exhibited at the Veterinary Sport Horse congress alongside Jumping Amsterdam.  This is a very different audience, mainly vets who see high level competition horses.  Natasha Werpy, a Florida-based radiologist who reads Hallmarq MR images for both our US and European customers, spoke on the interpretation and value of MRI for the sport horse.
