Following its achievement in winning the Queen's Awards for Enterprise (in both the Innovation and International Trade categories), Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging has also been named as a winner of the Institute of Physics Innovation Award 2015.

The IOP Innovation Awards recognise companies that have achieved significant commercial success built on physics.  Hallmarq developed the world's first, and still only, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system for the standing horse and has completely changed how vets approach equine lameness.  The unique real time interaction between the company's own hardware and software allows the EQ2, Hallmarq's standing equine MRI, to produce diagnostic images even with significant patient motion.

The Institute of Physics is a leading scientific society with a worldwide membership of more than 50,000, working together with policymakers and the general public to develop awareness and understanding of the value of physics
