Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging has completed its first installation of a Toshiba (now Canon) CT scanner at Swayne and Partners veterinary practice in Bury St Edmunds in the UK. The practice runs from four locations across West Suffolk and will be accepting imaging referrals within the region. The installation follows on from an exclusive agreement that allows high quality CT scanners made by Toshiba to benefit from specialist installation, advice, training, service and support provided by Hallmarq.
Swayne’s partner, Dr Duncan Hole says having the in-house facility is a real benefit, allowing fast and accurate diagnoses across the practice case load and opening up new opportunities, “The recent installation of a Toshiba 64 slice CT machine has revolutionised our imaging capabilities. We are now able to diagnose and treat conditions we previously struggled with or referred to other centres.” He continued, “We are very excited and impressed with the image quality and are looking forward to continuing to expand our imaging and treatment capabilities as we develop our case load.”
Speaking about the joint approach between Toshiba and Hallmarq Duncan said,
“The collaboration between Hallmarq and Toshiba has been excellent with seamless and hassle free installation, training and technical support. We had been interested in acquiring CT for our practice for some time and had researched various models to purchase and install a machine over the last couple of years but had not really been able to find the right financial model for us. The economic model Hallmarq has developed over the last decade with its equine MRI machines seemed to provide the solution we were looking for and enabled us to realise our dreams.”
Hallmarq’s ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ financing model was developed to make high quality imaging technology accessible and affordable for veterinary practices and is now applicable to both Hallmarq MRI and Toshiba CT scanners.
