Dr. van Veggel graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, in Saskatoon, SK, Canada in 2015. She was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to Canada in her early teens. After her study, she finished a Sports Medicine Internship at Sporthorse Medical Diagnostic Centre (SMDC), Heesch, the Netherlands, and continued her career at this center where, in 2018, she passed the ISELP Certification. Passionate about imaging, she became a diplomate of the ECVDI – LA (European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging) after a residency at Ghent University (Belgium). She currently leads the Diagnostic Imaging department at SMDC with a primary focus and interest in equine musculoskeletal and dentistry-related advanced and comparative imaging.
