Looks like you’re on our UK site! Would you like to switch US site?

Do not ask again

In a strategic move to expand our manufacturing capabilities, meet increased demand, and improve overall efficiency, Hallmarq has increased production space by 35% at head office site in Guildford, UK. Bringing all manufacturing in-house reflects the company’s growth and commitment to delivering high-quality advanced imaging products to a global market.

With this expansion, the company can respond more quickly to customer needs, while continuing to meet international demand.

Global growth

From our original space occupying just two units in Guildford, 2023 saw a rapid increase in manufacturing space. An additional 3,800 sq. feet was acquired at our UK premises in June with the Chicago premises moving into a larger site offering 6,300 sq. feet later that same year. However, the growth isn’t just about physical space, we’re also growing the manufacturing team to keep up with new contracts. With increased orders from the U.S. and other regions, the company has positioned itself as a key player in the small animal and equine advanced imaging markets.

“Our expanded facilities allow us to meet growing demand while ensuring we maintain the highest standards. In streamlining our production and delivery, we can save both time and money for us and our customers.”

Casey Coker, Head of Production, Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging

One of the key drivers of this expansion is a focus on simplifying the manufacturing process without compromising on quality. In addition to our ongoing commitment to sustainability, and continued focus on reducing the company’s carbon footprint by decreasing the complexity of the supply chain, we can reduce the time to manufacture while maintaining industry-leading levels of reliability.

Manufacturing MIRA small animal 1.5T MRI

In addition to our Standing Equine MRI machines and Vision CT systems, the production of MIRA – the company’s small animal 1.5T MRI machine – has now been bought in-house. The system, designed specifically for animal anatomy, features a built-in radio-frequency shield that removes the need for a specially adapted room.

In addition, the machine does not require helium, making it easier to ship, more affordable for the practice to own and maintain, and eliminating the need to source and purchase a finite resource.

As Hallmarq continues to grow, the company remains focused on its long-term vision: maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality while expanding its reach. Whether producing British-built systems, minimising environmental impact, or expanding the workforce, Hallmarq is setting the stage for a bright and exciting future in the global imaging market.
