Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging has appointed Kirsti Gordon to the role of Commercial Director. The position is a new one for Hallmarq and Kirsti’s role will be to drive growth and deliver value for customers across the Hallmarq portfolio of diagnostic imaging products which includes equine standing MRI, the PetVet small animal MRI and distribution of Toshiba CT scanners.
Kirsti brings a great deal of experience in the medical field having worked as a radiographer in Radiation Oncology for several years at hospitals including the John Radcliffe in Oxford and the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. After gaining a BSc Hons and MSc in Radiotherapy and Oncology she worked for a US medical technology company as Business Director for Neurosurgery for EIMEA, responsible for commercial and clinical development.
A keen horse rider who events her own horse at FEI one-star level, Kirsti is looking forward to working with the veterinary profession, “There are clearly many similarities across the medical and veterinary professions – delivering high quality care and ensuring patients receive an early diagnosis to improve outcomes are key priorities in both sectors. Medical technology is revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of disease and trauma and that means adapting processes and thinking. I’ll be applying knowledge gained in the medical field in some new contexts and ensuring that veterinary hospitals and clinics are best placed to enjoy the benefits that come with these new technologies.”
Hallmarq CEO Jos Belgrave says Kirsti’s appointment underlines the company’s commitment to continued development and growth, “Our ethos is to produce high quality, high-tech imaging systems backed up with outstanding support and service. Kirsti’s unique mixture of expertise will ensure that Hallmarq continues to grow its global business by meeting the needs of veterinary customers.”
